A scientist with a passion for leveraging data We bring the strategic thinking and analytic expertise you need via project-based or hourly-based contracts. A public health scientist by training, Dr. Melecia Wright earned her PhD in nutrition epidemiology at UNC Chapel Hill. She has worked as a research scientist at the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, where she evaluated chronic disease-related programs to inform citywide public policy. Excited by the myriad of innovative applications of data analysis outside of research, she diligently honed her skills in data science and earned a place in the prestigious and competitive Insight Data Science program as a Data Science Fellow. There she broadened her knowledge of machine learning applications to business problems. Since then, she has worked as a data scientist with applications to problems in surveys, politics, voter turnout and education. Dr. Wright completed her undergraduate education at Princeton University where she earned an AB in molecular biology and a certificate in environmental studies. She brings her wealth of analytical expertise to every project.
