Who We Are

Strategic thinking and analytic expertise delivered through project-based or hourly contracts.

A public health scientist by training, Dr. Melecia Wright earned her PhD in nutrition epidemiology at UNC Chapel Hill. She has worked as a research scientist at the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, where she evaluated chronic disease-related programs to inform citywide public policy.

Excited by the myriad of innovative applications of data analysis outside of research, she diligently honed her skills in data science and earned a place in the prestigious and competitive Insight Data Science program as a Data Science Fellow. There she broadened her knowledge of machine learning applications to business problems.

She then led the Analytics Unit at Murmuration Research Institute, deploying models that scored more than 150 million voters nationwide. Dr. Wright currently consults through Wright Data Solutions and teaches applied statistics and machine learning as adjunct faculty at UNC Chapel Hill.

Dr. Wright completed her undergraduate education at Princeton University where she earned an AB in molecular biology and a certificate in environmental studies. She brings her wealth of scientific and analytical expertise to every project.
